UK High Potential Individual visa now open to graduates from top 100 universities worldwide

The UK has expanded its High Potential Individual (HPI) visa route, effective November 4, 2025, to include graduates from a wider range of global universities.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the HPI visa:

  1. Recent graduate - Degree awarded within last 5 years
  2. Top university - Institution ranked in global top 100
  3. English proficiency - CEFR B1 level or equivalent
  4. Financial requirement - Β£1,270 in savings

Indian Universities That May Qualify

Several Indian institutions rank in global top 100 for specific subjects:

  • IIT Bombay
  • IIT Delhi
  • IISc Bangalore
  • IIT Madras
